Why do I want to undo racism?

In the Undoing Racism workshop they asked everybody this question. My answer is that everything we do creates a butterfly effect. And racism produces the most negative butterfly effect of all. Every foul thing that is happening in this world is someway related to the butterfly effect caused by racism.

As a White person who has lived all over these States, it is my experience the White people are generally not racist. The problem is that non-racist White people also tend to live in a bubble. Inside this bubble, they are living a lifestyle where racism is not overtly present in their lives. And with that, they do not feel motivated to stand against racism on a real level.

By examining, and illustrating the racism butterfly effect we can convince more people to stand against racism…
