Wildflower Fields (Poem)

I took a trip down to the end of the wildflower fields
purple, red, blue, yellow, green

I felt the light bloom inside my soul
Saw the face of a God unknown

He told me to be fruitful in the way things are
In the way things winnow when they aren’t supposed to be

I bathed in the rivers
And drank from the springs

Replenished my faith
in the unseen

I marveled at the beauty of a life less winding
As I ‘came to’ in the world I loathe
