SELLOUT (Poem)

Sellout a stadium
You think you’re something special

Push millions of albums
You think you’re something else

Try so  hard to get on
Then forget where you came from

Just cuz you talk about it
Don’t mean you know where you are

You sold your soul to the devil
And the price was cheap

Compared to what you get when you shear the sheep

You signed onto the narrative
Now it’s all you know

The blind leading the blind
Pushing the rebels into the wall

You can’t claim the streets you came
When you’re friend of foe
And you lost your aim

When your funds are high
But your deeds are low
And your only news is the wealth you blow

You’re a sellout
Selling clout

But you’re poor as dirt
And your time is out
