Little do they Know (Poem)

They think they own the cream that makes the butter
Little do they know…

They think they are the kings of every land
Little do they know…

They think their achievements are a world of wonder
Little do they know…

They think their wealth is a bird in the hand
Little do they know…

Little do they know that in the height of all their valor
The stools they stepped on will rise above their shadow

And illuminate the glory of Kingdom Come
And cast off the ashes of doom
All for one

Little do they know that when push comes to shove
All who are pushed will move forward
All who shove will see no love

And when the time is right and all is wrong
And the road to rest has no swan song

And the bridges they burned are intertwined
And all that’s left is salt and brine

The restless ones will betray the night
And the lead the way with their own light

The faint of heart will gather their strength
And feed their souls with bowls of faith

Little do they know that love is like a river
A flow that spawns an uphill route

No senseless war or act of hate
Could erase the stakes or shatter the rule

The world of theft
The boys in blue
The state controls the multitudes
The yoke of the burden that shadows us all
The vows they break
The shots they call

Little do they know…
The eNd
