A Million Doofs (Poem)

Before the age of smart phones
Before internet made noise
Before the masses formed their thoughts through copy pasting ploys

We liked who we liked
And didn’t like who we didn’t

It was a simple fact of life
So uncomplicated

But history has turned on itself
Left is right and up is down

We like who we can’t stand
And pay no mind to all frown

Upon the trifled trolling haze
The memeing mocking clowns

The dazzling catfish photoshops
The like me like back crowd

Reality is a tale of yesteryear
Commonsense has gone aloof

I’d rather pass on a million likes
Than to like a million doofs
